Sparta IV came to the Baltic

The dry cargo ship Oboronlogistics Sparta IV was relocated from the port of Novorossiysk to the port of Baltiysk and in June 2024 made 2 test round trips on the container line between Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg, transporting a total of 1.5 thousand tons of cargo.

The modern high-speed dry cargo ship Sparta IV built in 2018 reaches speeds of up to 14 knots and is designed for the delivery of general, container and bulk cargo, as well as perishable products, cars, heavy construction equipment, dangerous and oversized cargo.

The vessel has two cargo holds and is capable of receiving 630 containers, including 44 of the refrigerated type. Two cargo cranes with a lifting capacity of 55 tons each allow for prompt cargo handling.

Sparta IV has an Arc3 ice class, previously operated in the Far East and the Arctic as part of the Northern Delivery, was involved in the southern direction, sailed to Turkey, India and Syria.
