Sparta IV: Due north

The dry cargo ship Oboronlogistics Sparta IV, relocated from the port of Novorossiysk to the port of Baltiysk, having made several round trips on the container line between Kaliningrad and St. Petersburg, went further north, namely to the Arctic port of Bukhta Sever under construction in the Yenisei Bay of the Kara Sea.

During the summer navigation period, the vessel will deliver from the port of Arkhangelsk to the port of Bukhta Sever various cargoes necessary for the development of deposits and the construction of a new terminal. Unloading will be carried out, among other things, using the vessel's own crane equipment.

The modern high-speed dry cargo ship Sparta IV built in 2018 reaches speeds of up to 14 knots and is designed for the delivery of general, container, bulk and oversized cargo, as well as heavy construction equipment. Two cargo cranes with a lifting capacity of 55 tons each allow for prompt cargo handling.
Sparta IV has an Arc3 ice class and has extensive experience in the waters of the Northern Sea Route for the delivery of goods to points in the Arctic as part of the Northern Delivery.

The port of Bukhta Sever is located in the west of the Taimyr Peninsula south of the village of Dikson. Currently, full-scale construction is underway there, the construction of berthing facilities, transport and energy infrastructure.
