On tour by ferry

The leading Russian theaters have traditionally opened a season of big tours in the western cultural capital of Russia – Kaliningrad city, and ferries operating on the Ust-Luga - Baltiysk railway ferry line have started their favorite occupation – the transportation of theatrical props.

In April - May 2023 ferries transported St. Petersburg Theater "Saturday" and Roman Viktyuk Theater. Next in line are loads of the State Academic Bolshoi Theater of Russia, the Baltic Seasons Festival of Arts, the SHORTER Festival, the Vladimir Mayakovsky Moscow Academic Theater, the Theater Studio of Theatrical Art and others.

Like all other cargoes of the Russian Federation, theatrical props were included in the sanctions lists, so its transit through the territory of limitrophs is not possible. But thanks to the operational cooperation of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Kaliningrad region, the organizers of the tour, Oboronlogistics and its line agents in the ports of Ust-Luga and Baltiysk, the delivery of props and decorations is carried out in a timely manner. Rehearsals and performances go according to schedule, the diversity and completeness of the cultural life of the region remains at a high level.

The Ust-Luga – Baltiysk ferry line regularly transports valuable cargo, museum exhibits, theatrical property and equipment for filming between Kaliningrad and the main territory of the Russian Federation, allowing it to ensure the vital activity of the region, as well as saturate the lives of Kaliningrad residents and guests of the region with cultural events.
