On May 22, 2023, the specialists of the certification body in the nuclear industry conducted an inspection of the subsidiary of Oboronlogistics LLC – OBL-Shipping LLC and confirmed that the company's transportation was organized at a high level and met the requirements of international standards for services for the transportation of radioactive materials.

According to the results of the audit, LLC OBL-Shipping issued a certificate of conformity, which certifies that the quality management system operating in the organization, in relation to activities related to the provision of services for the sea transportation of nuclear materials (NM), radioactive substances (RV), radioactive waste (RW) meets the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2015.

LLC OBL-Shipping manages the vessels of Oboronlogistics Pizhma, Ambal, Maria and Lavrentiy in strategic areas important for Russia, constantly monitors the serviceability of the fleet, the fulfillment of instructions by crew members, compliance with the rules of safe operation of ships and prevention of environmental pollution, is currently working on obtaining permits (licenses) for the transportation of pits, RV, and RW.

The cargo ship Pizhma is designed to transport cargo of all hazard classes, including radioactive (Class 7). The ship has a deck for containers and general cargo, two holds, one of which is equipped for the transportation of nuclear fuel waste. At maximum load, the vessel carries up to 3,400 tons and develops a speed of up to 10 knots. The vessel performs flights to any point of the world ocean, including friendly countries of Asia and the Middle East.

Cargo and passenger ferries Maria and Lavrentiy are involved on the line Crimea – Caucasus. The ferries are designed to transport large-capacity vehicles, can accommodate up to 700 tons of cargo, including up to 20 trucks and more than 130 passengers.

The giant ferry Ambal carries out transportation on the Ust-Luga -Baltiysk railway and ferry line and is designed to accommodate vehicles on three cargo decks equipped with railway tracks, and is capable of transporting up to 130 transport units (railway wagons and rolling equipment).
