Ursa Major goes to the Army-2023

On August 14, 2023, the International Military-Technical ForumArmy-2023 will start at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center.

Once again, the forum will become a unique platform for demonstrating the best achievements in the field of modern weapons, military equipment and technologies, construction and logistical support of the interests of the Russian military-industrial complex. Such friendly countries as India, Iran and China are planning to take an active part in the exhibition.

This year, Oboronlogistics will present a completely new stand concept at the forum, which will clearly demonstrate the geography of transportation, the company's structure and key logistics opportunities in the field of military-technical cooperation and commercial cargo transportation. Traditionally, models of Oboronlogistics vessels operating on the strategic sea lines Ust-Luga – Baltiysk, Crimea – Caucasus, Novorossiysk – Tartus will be demonstrated at the stand.
The overall design of the stand will symbolize the process of loading and unloading operations in the port with the participation of the flagship of the Oboronlogistics fleet - the Ursa Major vessel and the company's own container fleet.

Ursa Major (translated as Big Dipper) is the largest and most equipped vessel of Oboronlogistics of the RO-RO/LO-LO class (vertical and horizontal loading), designed for the transportation of cargo of various classes

The cargo hold of the Ursa Major vessel can accommodate packaged cargo, equipment, containers, and other property weighing up to 1200 tons. Up to 120 units of rolling, wheeled or tracked vehicles can be placed on the cargo deck. There are more than 405 twenty-foot containers in five tiers on the open deck.

Vessel Ursa Major:
equipped with two cranes, with a lifting capacity of 350 tons each, which positions it as a Heavy Lift Cargo Vessel;
develops a speed of 14 knots;
it has a length of 142 m, a width of 23 m, a draft of 7 m, a deadweight of 9500 tons;
It operates all over the world: from points in the Arctic to key ports in Asia and the Middle East.

The container fleet of Oboronlogistics LLC consists of 1,500 containers of various types (20- and 40-foot universal containers, including refrigerated ones) used for the transportation of military and commercial cargo. The volume of container equipment is sufficient to ensure the transportation of cargo on all vessels of Oboronlogistics in various directions.

The Oboronlogistics stand will be attended by the management and leading specialists of the company, ready to answer any questions and discuss the possibilities of cooperation. Within the framework of the Army-2023 forum, it is planned to hold a number of meetings with clients and partners from Russia and friendly countries, discuss joint activities on existing and new projects.
