Spartas are in favor of clean water!

In September 2023, the Sparta and Sparta II vessels operating on the St. Petersburg-Kaliningrad sea line transported modular water treatment stations in the interests of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Kaliningrad Region.

Water treatment systems are vital in the resort of the Kaliningrad region to provide the population with drinking water and avoid deterioration of the sanitary and epidemiological situation. Due to the restrictions imposed on transit cargo transportation through the territories of the surrounding limitrophs, difficulties arose in the timely delivery of this equipment.

Sparta came to the rescue. Modular stations were delivered on rolling equipment on ships of Oboronlogistics. Thanks to the operational cooperation of the Ministry of Infrastructure Development of the Kaliningrad Region, Oboronlogistics and its line agents in the ports of Ust-Luga and Baltiysk, residents of the Kaliningrad region and numerous tourists will not remain without drinking water.

Universal bulk carriers Sparta and Sparta II of the RO-RO/LO-LO class can carry any types of cargo for various purposes: both containers and rolling equipment. The presence of ship cranes and a stern ramp allows cargo handling in a vertical and horizontal way.
