The Arctic Forum: Present and future 2023

The delegation of Oboronlogistics LLC traditionally takes part in the annual large–scale event - the International Arctic Forum: Present and Future, which takes place in St. Petersburg at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center on December 7-8, 2023.

The Forum brings together more than 2,000 participants from Russia and foreign countries, representatives of government authorities, public and scientific organizations, as well as experts from leading enterprises and companies to develop proposals to solve the problems of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
The plenary session of the current forum is devoted to the topic of changing approaches to the development of the Arctic. Experts discuss the problems of the transport and logistics complex, infrastructure, food security, personnel, climate and international cooperation.

Oboronlogistics is ready to offer solutions to a wide range of logistics tasks in the field of cargo transportation in the Arctic and on the routes of the Northern Sea Route and is open to joint work on existing and new projects.

The specialists of Oboronlogistics have extensive experience in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation since 2017. During this time, the company's forces delivered more than 150 thousand tons of cargo to the Arctic points, including food, medicines, machinery, fuel and lubricants and construction materials. About 12 thousand tons of obsolete equipment and scrap metal were exported in the opposite direction as part of the Arctic cleanup program.

Currently, Oboronlogistics is preparing for navigation in 2024, including designing its own raiding boats (flatboats), which will allow cargo delivery to the most remote points of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation on an unequipped shore.

The forum was organized by the Association of Polar Explorers with the participation of both chambers of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Russian Federation, the State Commission for the Development of the Arctic, relevant ministries and departments, representatives of regional and local authorities, heads of companies and businesses, experts, the scientific community and the media.
