The repair of Sparta 4 has been completed

Oboronlogistics ship Sparta IV completed its first maintenance in the dock under the supervision of specialists from the FAA Russian Classification Society, during which the following works were carried out:

maintenance of the main and auxiliary mechanisms;
maintenance and repair of cargo cranes;
diagnostics and repair of the screw-steering complex;
cleaning the housing from fouling;
painting of the underwater and surface parts of the hull;
repair of bottom-intake fittings;
inspection of emergency rescue and fire-fighting equipment.

After the repair, mooring and sea trials were completed, the vessel received classification documents and is ready to work on guaranteed cargo delivery.

The high-speed vessel Sparta IV (built in 2018) reaches speeds of up to 14 knots and is designed for the delivery of general, container and bulk cargo, as well as the transportation of goods requiring special conditions, including perishable products, cars, heavy construction equipment, dangerous and oversized cargo.

The vessel has two cargo holds and is capable of loading 630 TEUs, including 44 refrigerated containers. Two cargo cranes with a lifting capacity of 55 tons each allow for operational cargo handling. The deadweight of the Sparta IV is 8,625 tons.
