December: completed the year successfully

Oboronlogistics summed up the results of sea transportation performed in December 2023:

1. Oboronlogistics ferries Maria and Lavrentiy, used on the Crimea-Caucasus line, made about 230 round trips (30 trips more than last month), transported 11,000 vehicles and 18,000 passengers. And it is more than in November, as there was bad weather conditions in the strait, and the ferry Maria was also undergoing scheduled repairs.

2. All four railway ferries operated on the Ust-Luga – Baltiysk line. In total, they transported a total of 114,500 tons of cargo (including over 2,000 wagons and 2,000 units of rolling equipment), the same amount as last month. The storms that continue in December did not greatly affect the operation of the line. The main nomenclature of cargo, as usual, consisted of fuel, lubricants and construction materials, as well as foodstuffs. At the end of December, the Ambal ferry left the line for scheduled repairs at the Kanonersky Shipyard.

3. Both vessels Sparta and Sparta II operated on the container line St. Petersburg – Kaliningrad, and at the very end of the month they were joined by the dry cargo ship Pizhma. In total, Oboronlogistics' vessels Sparta and Sparta II, involved in the line, transported about 27,000 tons of cargo (7,000 tons more than in November), including:

1,427 containers (22,049 tons);
Rolling equipment – 170 units (4,573 tons);
General cargo – 342 tons.
