Pizma means fast

For the second month in a row, Oboronlogistics' dry cargo ship Pizhma has been successfully operating on the new OBL-Line container line connecting the ports of St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad.

Pizhma is designed for transportation of any type of cargo, can transport both containers and general and bulk cargo.

Despite the heavy ice situation in the Baltic Sea since the beginning of 2024, Pizhma has covered 5,000 nautical miles, made 9 voyages, transported 500 containers and various general cargo, including lumber, drilling equipment and metal structures with a total weight of more than 8,000 tons.

The bulk carrier has a deck, two holds and two ship cranes with a lifting capacity of 35 tons each. The length of the vessel is 95 m, the width is 16 m, the draft is 6 m. At maximum load, the vessel reaches a speed of up to 12 knots.
