Maritime Logistics: Non-Standard Approaches

On March 18, 2024, a delegation from Oboronlogistics takes part in the first conference Maritime Logistics: Non-Standard Approaches for the Implementation of Infrastructure and Industrial Projects at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

The event is organized by the PortNews Media Group with the support of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, and the Russian Chamber of Shipping.

According to the organizers of the conference, the modernization and construction of industrial facilities increasingly requires extraordinary approaches to project logistics. Today, oversized and oversized cargo has to be delivered to the most remote areas of our country, and the most optimal way of delivery is sea transport.
The questions posed by the organizers to the participants are: is it possible to make the fleet and equipment for the delivery of oversized cargo more affordable? How to successfully apply the experience of implemented projects to solve new large-scale tasks?

For many years, Oboronlogistics has been specializing in the delivery of project cargo, including along the Northern Sea Route, and has extensive experience in project transportation by sea. This type of delivery is suitable for transporting heavy machinery and equipment, various metal structures, household blocks, agricultural machinery, pipes for drilling, wind turbines, etc.

Due to their design, Oboronlogistics universal bulk carriers of the RO-RO/LO-LO class can transport any type of cargo for various purposes. The vessels have holds, cargo decks for ro-ro equipment and decks for placing containers. The presence of ship cranes and a stern cargo ramp allows for vertical and horizontal cargo handling. The vessels have a deadweight of 7,000 to 10,000 tons and are equipped with cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 350 tons.

Oboronlogistics specialists noted the practical importance of the conference, as well as the opportunity to share experience and offer potential customers unique solutions for complex transportation of heavy oversized cargo.
