Caspian Sea in Focus

April 23 – 25, 2024 Oboronlogistics is taking part in the III International Forum Transport Logistics of the Caspian Region 2024 in Astrakhan, dedicated to the transport and logistics potential, as well as topical issues of cargo transportation along the North-South ITC and adjacent routes.

The North-South corridor is becoming more and more in demand against the backdrop of geopolitical changes, and transportation through the Caspian Sea opens up wide logistics opportunities between Iran, India and Russia. However, according to experts, the route does not always seem to be cost-effective, taking into account the existing infrastructure constraints, the lack of port facilities and difficult climatic conditions in winter.

All these and other issues are discussed by forum participants from Azerbaijan, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, UAE, Russia, Turkmenistan and other countries: experts, representatives of state bodies and local administrations, private business, specialized associations, stevedoring, investment and logistics companies, cargo owners and shipowners, railway operators and freight forwarders. Within the framework of the forum, excursions to the ports of Olya, Astrakhansky, Streletskoye and Alfa-Port will be held.

Oboronlogistics specialists note the practical importance of the forum, the opportunity to study the logistics processes and cargo base of the Caspian region using specific examples, as well as to share experience and offer potential customers unique solutions for multimodal transportation of various types of cargo between Russia, India, Iran and Syria.
