Antey: a giant for Kaliningrad!

In mid-May 2024, a new cargo-passenger car ferry, named after the Greek giant, Antey, will enter the Ust-Luga – Baltiysk ferry line. The launch of the new ferry will significantly increase the volume of road cargo transported on the line.

The universal double-deck ferry of the RO-PAX type will carry rolling equipment and accompanying passengers. The lower deck will be able to accommodate 44 road trains, and the upper deck will accommodate about 50. The total length of the lanes for the transportation of rolling equipment is 1,700 linear meters. In one trip, the ferry is capable of transporting more than 90 euro trucks.

Each deck is equipped with 12 380V power outlets and has 59 cabins for 149 passengers. The deadweight of the ferry is 7,811 MT. It is planned that the ferry Antey will carry out 6 round trips per month.

The vessel was built in 1988 and has an ice class, which allows it to transport cargo in the Baltic Sea all year round. The ferry is owned by Universal Transport Group LLC, and Oboronlogistics will act as a cargo agent and sell tickets for the transportation of rolling equipment and passengers.

With the arrival of the new ferry, the operating procedure of the Ust-Luga – Baltiysk railway-ferry line will not change. For the convenience of shippers, the existing "one-stop-shop" scheme will be maintained for all vessels operating on the line.

In the ports of departure, passengers and rolling equipment will be serviced by Oboronlogistics line agents:

in the port Baltiysk – LLC TBC (www.transbc.ru);
in the port of Ust-Luga – ImexService LLC (www.imex-service.ru);

More detailed information about the Antey ferry schedule, tariffs and transportation rules is available on the website of Oboronlogistics and its liner agents.
