BID carries an oversized

Oboronlogistics subsidiary company OBL-Spetztrans, which operates in the road transportation segment, is currently organizing the transportation of oversized cargo using its own digital platform Base of Intelligent Delivery (BID), in particular for the transportation of bridge beams for the construction of high-speed overpasses in the Moscow region.

Span beams belong to long building materials, and their transportation has its own specifics, ranging from the choice of the type of vehicle, to loading, escorting, fastening features and drawing up an optimal safe route.

The length of the beams reaches 33 m, the weight is 60 tons, the height is 3 m. The total length of the road train can exceed 40 m.

In the transportation of such structures, the teamwork of qualified escort specialists and drivers of special equipment is of great importance. Thus, the "steering" of the rear part of the road train is carried out by an escort specialist, who has a separate trailer control panel to assist the driver.

Thus, to carry out the transportation of oversized materials, a specialized carrier is required, who has not only special equipment, but also specific skills, experience and permits.
