Where there is salt, there is sugar

In the summer of 2024, three railway ferries (Marshal Rokossovsky, General Chernyakhovsky and Ambal) operated on the Ust-Luga-Baltiysk line, the cargo agent of which is Oboronlogistics.

During this period, the cargo base of ferries in both directions amounted to about 368,500 tons (for comparison, during the spring months, ferries transported about 348,000 tons, and in the same period last year - 308,000 tons) and included: fuels and lubricants, special equipment, fertilizers, reagents for treatment facilities in the region and industrial chemicals, as well as food, including basic necessities, such as salt and sugar for the enterprises of the Russian enclave.

Building materials and reinforced concrete structures used for the construction of sports facilities in the region, the construction of port infrastructure and a drawbridge in Kaliningrad were transported to Kaliningrad. In the summer, thanks to the ferries, an active rotation of agricultural and construction equipment was carried out. Seedlings of fruit shrubs and trees were delivered to Kaliningrad.

In the opposite direction, the products of Kaliningrad enterprises followed to the main territory of Russia in large quantities: cranes, furniture, textiles, confectionery, equipment for fishing vessels, etc.

In addition, the ferries provided summer cultural events for residents and guests of the region: props of touring theaters and the circus were transported, as well as equipment for the annual music festival "Singing KiViN - 2024" in Svetlogorsk.
