Sparta IV conquers the Arctic Ocean

Oboronlogistics's dry cargo ship Sparta IV continues to operate in the Kara Sea and in September-October 2024 made a coastal transportation from the port of Bukhta Sever to the port of Yenisei on the Taymyr with 3,300 tons of general cargo (ten-meter pipes, piles, sand, building materials and residential trailers). 

Loading and unloading operations in the ports of Sever Bay and Yenisei were carried out in the harsh weather conditions of the Far North in the absence of sufficient port infrastructure using their own cranes of a vessel with a lifting capacity of 55 tons each. 

The port of Yenisei is a completely new stronghold of the Northern Sea Route, which is being built for one of the largest coal deposits in the world.

In the future, a large-scale infrastructure network will be built around the port, over 10-15 million tons of coal will pass through the port annually, and its reserves will last for 500 years. Coal will be delivered not only to Russian regions, but also to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
