In October 2024, one of the stages of diversification of Oboronlogistics LLC was completed: the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision issued a license for the right to transport radioactive substances on sea vessels to OBL-Shipping LLC, which is part of the Oboronlogistics group of companies.

Thus, Oboronlogistics is able to transport equipment containing radionuclides on ships necessary for medical purposes, offshore development, geological exploration and use in other areas of life.

OBL-Shipping manages Oboronlogistics vessels in strategic areas that are important for Russia, constantly monitors the serviceability of the fleet, the implementation of instructions by crew members, compliance with the rules for the safe operation of vessels and the prevention of environmental pollution.

In order to carry out these transportations, Oboronlogistics vessels were equipped with additional equipment, and crew members underwent special training.

In 2024, specialists from the certification body in the nuclear industry conducted an inspection of OBL-Shipping and confirmed that transportation in the company is organized at a high level and the quality of services meets the requirements of international standards for the transportation of radioactive materials.
