In the context of a difficult geopolitical situation and sanctions restrictions, Oboronlogistics continues to pay great attention to domestic developments and the creation of its own software, which guarantees the safe operation of ships, and also meets the main directions of the state import substitution program.
So, in November 2024, Russian-made OWEN controllers were installed on the flagship of m/v Ursa Major, and its own software was developed for them, which allows you to control such an important component of the vessel's functioning as the artificial ventilation system in the engine and boiler room (MCE).
The ship's MCO occupies a significant area, for example, on the vessel Ursa Mayor it is 400 sq. m, which corresponds to the size of an average fitness center. For cooling and normal operation of equipment and machines in the MCE, an uninterrupted supply of air in sufficient quantities is required. The main criterion that determines the operation of the ventilation system is the frequency of complete air changes per hour. At the same time, the system takes into account the heat generation of mechanisms and the number of people working in the MCE.
Oboronlogistics continues to expand the functionality of the software product in other areas as well. So, in the summer of 2024, Oboronlogistika specialists installed new satellite communication systems on the ships, updated computer equipment and office equipment, installed network and server equipment, configured antivirus software and communication monitoring systems.
These measures make it possible to simplify work processes on ships, switch to better communications based on a domestic satellite constellation, and be independent of foreign providers, equipment and software manufacturers.
