In preparation for the commissioning of the tugboat Bars, Oboronlogistics specialists modernized the communication systems on the vessel: a local area network was installed, new network, computer equipment and office equipment were installed, and proprietary software Ship Requests and Dispatch Messages was installed.
The vessel is integrated into the geographic information system of the Oboronlogistics Situation Logistics Center and is connected to the unified information system of the Group of Companies. The crew members of the vessel were trained to work in the software and hardware complex.
The tugboat Bars became part of the fleet of the Oboronlogistics Group of Companies in 2025 in the process of expanding the group's transport competencies and entering the inland water transportation market. The presence of the tugboat fleet will allow the company to transport project, oversized and large-tonnage cargo by inland waterways in the interests of the Russian Ministry of Defense, state customers and commercial organizations.
The vessel Bars is a twin-screw pusher and is designed to tow barges. Overall length 40.80 m, average draft 2.16 m, overall width 8.60 m, engine power - 1039 horsepower, estimated tractive effort - 10 tons.
