Bars is ready to work

On May 12, 2025, Oboronlogistics received a safety management certificate for the Bars vessel issued by the Russian Classification Society (RKO).

Representatives of the RKO conducted a survey of the vessel, according to the results of which it was established that the safety management system (SMS) meets the requirements of Article 34.1 of the Federal Law "Code of Inland Water Transport of the Russian Federation". Now the tug is completely ready to work as intended.

The inspection showed that the crew of the vessel under the guidance of an experienced captain ensures the stable operation of the tugboat, properly follows all instructions, maintains the proper operation of the vessel, observes the rules of safe operation and prevention of environmental pollution.

The Bars is a twin-screw pusher. Length - 40.80 m, average draft - 2.16 m, width - 8.60 m, engine power - 1039 horsepower, estimated tractive effort - 10 tons.

The tugboat became part of the Oboronlogistics fleet in 2025 in the process of expanding transport competencies to enter the inland water transportation market. The presence of a vessel of this type allows towing floating objects and transporting project, oversized and large-tonnage cargo by inland waterways.
