Pizhma shows class

In mid-August 2025, the dry cargo ship Pizhma, which is part of the Oboronlogistics fleet, completed dock repairs as part of a scheduled intermediate survey and successfully passed sea trials under the supervision of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The necessary registration documents have been obtained.

Repairs have been going on since March 2025. Maintenance of all mechanisms of the vessel, main engines, electrical equipment, cargo cranes and rudder propeller complex was carried out in the dock.

In addition, 40 tons of metal of the hull structures were replaced, the hull was painted and the shaft lines were centered. All the work carried out significantly improved the seaworthiness of the vessel. During sea trials, the Pizhma developed an absolute speed record of up to 15.2 knots.

Pizhma is designed for transportation of all types of cargo, including dangerous (class 7). The vessel has a deck for containers and general cargo, two holds, one of which is equipped for the transportation of spent nuclear fuel.

Two ship cranes (with a lifting capacity of 35 tons each) allow Pizhma to quickly carry out loading and unloading operations both in the port and on an unequipped shore or open roadstead. At maximum load, the vessel carries up to 3,400 tons of cargo.

In the near future, the dry cargo ship Pizhma will begin to perform new tasks.
