North-South: New Horizons

On November 26-28, 2025, Oboronlogistics specialists took part in the III Astrakhan International Forum "ITC North-South – New Horizons. Rapid entry into the premium markets of Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, the Middle East, East Africa and India."

The event brought together more than 400 experts from 20 countries, including Afghanistan, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, India, Iran, Iraq, Tanzania, Turkmenistan and Ethiopia, including representatives of logistics organizations, industrial enterprises and government agencies.

The forum participants visited the existing ports and terminals of Astrakhan, got acquainted with their technological capabilities. The plenary session was devoted to the prospects for the development of the international North-South transport corridor, the success of which depends on the readiness of the participating countries to start jointly building a common transport system capable of ensuring sustainability and economic growth for all countries.

The discussion platforms of the forum made it possible to discuss in detail topical issues of logistics, cross-border payments and exchange experience. Of particular interest to Russian specialists were the issues of customs clearance and legal aspects of working with foreign countries.

With the entry into the river transportation market in the navigation of 2025, Oboronlogistics considers itself a full-fledged participant in the development of the North-South ITC. Representatives of the company noted the practical importance of the forum, had the opportunity to study the logistics processes and cargo base of the direction, as well as share their experience in transporting various types of cargo between Russia, Iran and India.
