North-South ITC discussed in Moscow

At the end of March 2026, representatives of Oboronlogistics took part in the scientific and practical conference "Problems of the development of the North-South ITC: logistics, political, economic, environmental, sanctions, military. New Iran 3.0". At the conference, possible scenarios for the development of the North-South International Transport Corridor in connection with the situation in the Middle East were discussed in the format of a discussion.

The conflict in the Persian Gulf has not paralyzed maritime transportation across the Caspian Sea. There is already an increase in the supply of grain, coal, petrochemicals, building materials and equipment through the Caspian Sea, new vectors of development have been outlined for the export/import of the Russian Federation and the CIS countries in the field of replacing Western companies in the Iranian market.

Having analyzed the risks and opportunities, most experts and representatives of logistics companies came to the conclusion that it is necessary to prepare for a subsequent increase in cargo turnover and increasing transit through Iran to Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan, where new trade hubs are being formed.

Oboronlogistics specialists noted the practical significance of the conference as an opportunity to study the logistics processes and the composition of the future cargo base of the North-South ITC for further access to the markets of the Persian Gulf and East Africa. International cooperation and the formation of a common strategy for the development of the region should play a key role here.
