OBL-Shipping: reliability and safety

In May 2026, OBL-Shipping LLC, a subsidiary of Oboronlogistika LLC, successfully passed the recertification audit and once again confirmed that the quality management system in force in the organization meets the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001-2015 in relation to services for the maritime transportation of nuclear materials (NM), radioactive substances (RW) and radioactive waste (RW).

An important stage in the diversification of the Oboronlogistika Group of Companies was October 2024, when the Federal Service for Environmental, Technological and Nuclear Supervision issued a license to OBL-Shipping LLC for the right to transport radioactive substances. Thanks to this, Oboronlogistics was able to transport equipment with radionuclides necessary for medical purposes, offshore development, geological exploration and in other areas of peaceful atom application.

To ensure the implementation of such transportation, the company took a number of measures: the vessels were equipped with additional equipment, and crew members underwent special training. OBL-Shipping constantly monitors the serviceability of the fleet, makes sure that crew members follow all instructions, and ensures compliance with the rules for the safe operation of vessels and the prevention of environmental pollution.
