Ambal is back on the line

On July 13, 2026, the Ambal ferry completed scheduled repairs and resumed work on the Ust-Luga – Baltiysk railway-ferry line.

The repairs, which took place in the dock of the shipyard as part of the regular survey under the supervision of inspectors of the FAI Russian Maritime Register of Shipping, included: defect detection of all components and mechanisms of the vessel, repair of the power plant and main engines, rudder propeller complex, ballast system, railway loading and unloading system, hull painting. Oboronlogistics specialists have made every effort to return the ferry to service as soon as possible.

The ferry delivers various goods to the Kaliningrad region necessary to ensure the life of the region, most of which are fuels and lubricants, food, construction equipment and essential goods.
